Local Charities and Community Projects

West Norfolk Recycling Rewards launched in May 2016 to reward the residents of King’s Lynn and West Norfolk for reducing, reusing and recycling. When residents recycle more they earn more Green Points for their community, with five communities across West Norfolk competing to earn the most Green Points.

As part of the scheme we will be giving £6,000 to local charity and community projects over 12 months. The community with the most Green Points after six months will win a donation of £1,500 for a charity or community project and the communities in second and third place will win donations of £750. Residents can vote at any time for the charity of community project they would like to support.

In the first year of the scheme, West Norfolk Recycling Rewards is supporting:

  • Hospital Radio Lynn
  • Norfolk Hospice
  • West Norfolk Mind
  • Festival Too
  • Scotty’s Little Soldiers
  • Rotary Club of King’s Lynn

Whilst these projects have been set for the first year, we would still like to hear from local charities and community projects who want to get involved in the scheme in the future. If your charity or community project would like to be contacted when we are accepting applications please email us at [email protected]. Similarly, if you would like any more information about how the scheme works then please get in touch.
